Ecologist, educator and artist
Gidja Lee Walker BSc, DipEd, is an ecological consultant and natural systems teacher based on Victoria's Southern Mornington Peninsula

Gidja's specialties are natural systems management education and training, restoration ecology, threatened species management, endangered ecosystems including Moonah Woodland and wetlands, coastal and saltmarsh ecology, fire ecology, flora surveys, plant identification, weed prioritisation, site assessment, uses of indigenous plants and weeds and indigenous garden design

The holder of a Banksia Award for her long-term work on various threatened terrestrial orchids and a Parks Victoria Kookaburra Award for her volunteer environmental work in parks, she's a founder member and current long-time president of the Southern Peninsula Indigenous Flora & Fauna Association
